Pear trees
4/10/11, Purchased a D'anjou and Bosc pear from the bare root guy at the Saturday Market (The same guys that I got the dwarf apples from last year). I planted the Bosc in the front near the marion berry and the D'anjou in a container until I clear some bamboo.

Container Potatoes
As the leaves grow I will add straw and dirt/compost mixture to fill the bin. This should produce potatoes all the way to the top of the wire mesh.

Over wintered Kale
This kale overwintered. The chickens and ducks had eaten it down to a nub. I like the way that it is leafing out of the whole stalk.

Onion and kale planted middle of March. Both purchased as starts from Down to Earth.
Starting of cardinal flower seeds. These seeds have just come out of the fridge for tow months.
