Flowering Banana

June/July 2013 - Blooming banana in Eugene, Oregon. This is a first for me. The flower is very cool forming layers of flowers and resulting fruit. You can see the individual growing banana fruits at the back side of the flower.

Pole beans and cucumbers

Pulled sugar peas. Planted cucumbers and pole beans.

Sugar pea seeds sown 2/17/13. Artichokes starts out of the greenhouse (started from seeds in the fall) and into garden beds. Dwarf apples out of containers and planted in place of the single bearing raspberries.
